Family Life:

Parenting Program Raising children in today's world is a difficult and challenging task.  St. Joseph's seeks to assist parents as they embrace their sacred vocation.  Join us for presentations, discussions and prayer on alternate Wednesdays, 9:30 to 11:15 a.m., in the Parish Center.  Play area with childcare is available during the meetings.
God's "TYM" (God's Total Youth Ministry) All high school students are encouraged to come have fun and share their faith.  Meetings are held in the Church Hall on Sundays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. God's "TYM" is a program of Capuchin Franciscan Youth and Family Ministry (CYFM).
Singles Group If you are interested in planning future events of a spiritual, social or service nature or just want to know more about this evolving group, please join us.  All single parishioners over thirty who never married or who are separated, divorced or widowed are welcome.
Women's Enrichment The Women's Enrichment Group meets regularly on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Center.  All women are encouraged to attend and to bring along a friend.

The Parish Council meets on the First Tuesday of each month at 7:45 p.m. in the Church Hall.  We encourage anyone interested to attend as these meetings are open to all registered parishioners.

Outreach Activities:

Barbara Kensett Committee for the Homebound The Barbara Kensett Committee is made up of volunteers from the Parish who periodically make visits or transport our homebound parishioners to medical appointments.  Meetings take place once a month.  Please call the Parish Office for further information.  Coordinated by Polly Gomes and Stephen Regan.
Senior Social St. Joseph's hosts a senior social every Thursday beginning at noon.  Please bring a bag lunch.  Coordinated by Marie Palladino.
Food Pantry Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, Church Hall.  Coordinated by Tom O'Connor.
Community Dinners A time for fellowship with people of all faiths.  Dinners are held at St. Joseph in July, August and September at 2:00 p.m. on the last Sunday of the month.  Sponsored by the Parish Council in partnership with Family of New Paltz.
Adopt-a-Family Families helping families.  This program begins in early November and runs through the week prior to Christmas.  Sponsored by the Parish Council.
Thanksgiving Baskets This program begins in mid-October through the week prior to Thanksgiving.  Coordinated by the Secular Franciscan Order.
SUNY-New Paltz College Campus Ministry

Hank Grimsland, Catholic Campus Minister
A ministry of the University Apostolate of the Archdiocese of New York, supported by St. Joseph's.  Fellowship, prayer, refreshments, guest speakers and outreach ministry opportunities. Italian Festa The Italian Festa is held each mid-July and features wonderful food, rides for the kids, games, entertainment and prizes.  Coordinated by the Festa Committee.
Mass for the Deaf Held at 2:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month.  A reception follows the mass in the Church Hall.

Father Solanus Casey Guild The purpose of the Father Solanus Guild is to keep alive inspiring memory of Father Solanus, to bring the knowledge of his inspiring life to others, to collect information about his life and work and to pray for and support the Cause of Beatification.  Membership is open to any living person interested in the purpose of the Guild. Father Solanus Casey Prayer Chain The St. Joseph Circle of the Father Solanus Casey Guild sponsors a prayer chain in the Parish and meets every other month on the last Tuesday.  If you have a prayer request of a serious nature, kindly call the Parish Office.
Cub Scouts Cub Scout Pack 272 is sponsored by the St. Joseph.  The pack meetings are generally held on the third Thursday at 7:00pm in the church hall. Click here to check Pack 272's schedule and to attend a pack meeting.
   
Secular Franciscan Order The Secular Franciscan Order belongs to the Franciscan Family and is formed by the organic union of all the Catholic fraternities, whose members, moved by the Holy Spirit, commit themselves through profession to live the Gospel after the manner of St. Francis in their secular state following the Rule approved by the Church.  Please call Tom Connor for further information.
Knights of Columbus The Knights of Columbus invite all practicing Catholic males 18 years or older to join them on each Wednesday of  the month.  Meetings are held in the Parish Hall at 7:45 p.m.  Please contact Robert Malarczyk (Grand Knight) or Sal Palmeri for further information.
Columbiettes The women's branch of the K of C meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:45 p.m. in the Parish Center. Contact Anita Perrone 691-7093 (President) for information.
Squires The young men's branch of the K of C meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus Meets the fourth Wednesday of the each month at 7:45p.m. in the Parish Hall. Contact Bob Malarczyk for  information.
